Water. I chose it for our focus for Click of the Wild… It was maybe a little bit influenced/inspired by Alicia’s trip to Niagara Falls! (You can see Alicia’s photo, and the others over on Click of the Wild)
I chose this shot of Tenley jumping in a puddle after a summer shower. Not sure puddle jumping shots will ever get old!


While we were out there, the sun suddenly came back out and created this really dramatic light – love it!


And another day I got this shot of Kennedy getting sprayed!

Happy Birthday to one cute little guy! Potter Graham turned one year old a few weeks ago, and I captured his Birthday Bash at Rolling Hill Farms. His Mom made most of (or all!) of the gorgeous décor… enjoy!

I have recently replaced disc’s with online galleries. And I am in love! Truth is, it was kinda hard for me to make the change. I don’t really know why exactly (yes, it does cost a little bit more) but also, I just liked the idea of handing someone a pretty packaged disc.
However, after a couple of clients mentioned that they don’t have a laptop or desktop at home anymore to put the disc in and view the photo’s (they simply use ipads/tablets and phones), I decided to look more into other image sharing solutions.

After exploring different options, I decided to go with is PASS. And I haven’t regretted it once. I absolutely love sending the gallery to clients. It is easy to use, easy to share, easy to print, really, it’s awesome!

I may not be passing out pretty packaged disc’s anymore, but, I am sending gorgeous galleries and (bonus!) a little snail mail too! Who doesn’t love snail mail?! …the good kind of course

What you can do with your gallery:

• view your photo’s in a fresh, crisp gallery – anywhere! Access from your phone, computer, tablet…
• order prints
• share on social media (the gallery is password protected, so your friends only see what you post, unless you choose to share the password)
• send the gallery to friends/family so they can order their own prints
• download some or all of the images to your own computer or device
• ‘favorite’ your most favorite images by clicking the heart (this makes it so much easier when choosing what to print, etc.)

So, there you go! To all of my past and future clients, I think you will be incredibly happy with this change. please feel free to ask me any questions – I am here for ya!

This week marked the one year anniversary of Click of the Wild. Happy Anniversary! More than a year ago, I tossed out the idea of having a shared blog with some photographer friends, and focusing on one word/theme/expression at a time. This idea was tossed out at what we call “Nerd Night”. We are all photographers, and we get together every so often and ‘nerd it out’

When I tossed out the idea (inspired by You are my Wild - amazing, incredible images all focused on kids), we all agreed that it didn’t matter if we had followers, or comments, or the support of others. All that mattered is that we have fun and we push ourselves to do something different, to see things differently. And to capture it.

Thank you to each and every one of you who do encourage us, follow us, cheer us on! Glad you enjoy, and hope you continue too!

We try not to spend to much time on each focus, we like to keep it fun and light and just learn from it. Often, we wait till the last day, and run out and grab an image in 5 minutes! ha. Either way, it has been fun and enlightening. I feel that I have grown in this little challenge and I must admit, as I look through my images, I am proud of what I have captured. And that makes me happy.

Alicia chose ‘hair’ for our focus this time around. And it just so happened that I had an appointment to ‘make the cut’ for Panetene Beautiful Lengths.  I took a few ‘selfie’ style photo’s of my hair in the pretty morning light one morning, but the image I chose happened to be my ponytail that I am mailing off to Pantene Beautiful Lengths. I am passionate about the cause and how donating can make someone who is going through chemo, feel just a little bit better. So it just felt right that this be my first choice

Summer is almost over (how can it be?!) I feel like it’s just gone by so fast. I love fall, but am just not quite ready to let summer go yet… So, in light of all this, as I looked through these images of a random summer day here at my house – with cousins – I thought of how I love these kinds of photo’s. How they are just real and fun and by next summer they will look different. The same, yet different.

So, I decided to offer a little end-of-summer session. This kind of photo’s – pools, sprinklers, outside play, popsicle’s, etc. – for a special price. Text or email me for details. Let’s savor summer just a little more, and capture your moments to look back on!

I was hoping someone would choose “summer” for our focus for Click of the Wild. And Molly did! (pretty sure she said it was actually her daughters suggestion )

Summer makes me think of so many different things, garden, popsicles, bare feet and flipflops, cute little dresses on my girls, outside play, swimming, and goggles. I think of goggles! haha. I happen to have some cute pictures that include goggles, I’ll have to post them soon…

But maybe some of my favorite summer things we do is spending afternoons at my grandparents house. We eat lunch, and sit on the patio talking and let the kids play in the pool.  We just be. Pretty sure it will be times we look back on and love a little extra…or a lot extra. My grandparents are amazing and inspiring and I feel so grateful for everything they do for us.
There are always popsicles, and bubbles (they make sure we don’t run out) and MawMaw jokes that by the time she showers that night she won’t need to use soap due to all the bubbles that have landed on her! But that’s the thing about her. She doesn’t mind the kids crowding around her and blowing bubbles all over her. She teaches the kids who don’t know how to blow bubbles yet just the right way to do it. While Poppa goes and gets another round of popsicles for everyone. They are the best. Really.

Here are some pictures I snapped last week while we had one of those afternoons…

Jax yelled “Look! I made Mickey Mouse!” and sure enough… best bubble Mickey Mouse I’ve ever seen!!

I’ll end with this shot because it makes me laugh! Genevieve peeking out from behind Jesse with her silly face totally cracks me up!

Victoria Grace. She is absolutely precious.

Her big sister Brooklyn was hoping and wishing for a baby sister. She got her wish and she is a great big sister! Victoria is very much loved, and I loved capturing them at this special time…

I have done a couple of sessions at the Peach Orchards now… and I absolutely love shooting there! It’s incredibly gorgeous and the tree’s and colors just pop.

Brittany had originally scheduled a summer session at their house, and when she discovered these gorgeous tree’s she called me and we did some quick planning and managed to get a session at the orchards before the blooms were gone (these were the last of the tree’s to bloom)… She told me that she really just wanted this to be about her and Andrew. They haven’t had pictures done since their wedding (3 years ago) and she really hoped to start a family soon… So it was important to them to capture the two of them – just the two of them – as they are now. Well, right after this session they found out that they are expecting their first baby! How is that for timing?!

I am so incredibly happy for these two. They are the real deal and I was honored to have them in front of my camera.
