Sparkle, Glitter

Recently my regular office job called for a different sort of work; to go out and take pictures! (yay!) So, I got to ride around all afternoon with my Dad taking pictures of houses we have done. (I think it was the highlight of my career!!) Anyway, one of the houses had been sold and was currently being renovated by one of Dad’s builders so we got the chance to go in and take a look around. It was pretty amazing and I couldn’t help taking a picture of the very fancy chandelier as we walked thru… I thought it turned out sort of cool….

Ruger

Okay, let me first say that I am not an animal lover. I like animals, I think they are adorable but I don’t really get all into them. But when Kemp brought his little pup over today I just had a fit – he is adorable!

I think Brittany took a liking to him too!

Dandelion

While riding my bike yesterday this dandelion caught my attention in a neighbor’s yard. So when I finished riding I went in, grabbed my camera and got these couple of shoots (and in case you are wondering; he was not at home when I first went out there, but then he pulled in and caught me laying in his front yard! I am sure he thinks I am a nut!!)

I know it has been awhile…..

but I have not really taken any pictures lately, I know, sad. I have even carried my camera around with me but I find myself sleeping more lately than taking pictures! (this baby is making me tired!!) Anyway, Since I have not posted anything in awhile I thought I would post a few old ones that I love. These were on Shutterfly so you may have already seen them but I thought they were cute enough to see again….!

Now this may not be the perfect picture in many ways, but honestly, I think it is one of my all-time favorites only because it is just so cute! I mean what can be cuter than a couple of little boys helping to pull another up the wall??!! I love it!

Clayton and Duke

Here is a random shot for you: Stu’s bandaged fingers from cutting them over the weekend…(Sorry guys, I tend to shoot anything!)

And I do mean anything! This is my lens cover for my 50mm that I have come to LOVE! I bought it a long time ago but just recently started using it. I basically had to make myself use it for awhile and now that I have I can’t get enough of it. I had spoiled myself with all my zoom lens, with this one I am forced to move to get the shot I want, but it is so worth it when I get it right!

Clark

First of all; for Mothers Day last year I gave Mom a picture of each of us. Well, sort of. I only managed to get pictures of Holly, Tressa and Clay but promised her that I would soon get mine, Russ and Clarks… And finally, I did. I know, I am sloooow! But Clark was the last one I had to get and I did it today. So, I thought I would share a couple…. (and by the way, thanks Clark, I know getting your picture made is not your favorite thing to do!!)

And since I am posting Mothers Day shots these are a couple we took of me for Mom…

Yay!

Okay, I am embarrassing myself here. I cannot believe I am posting this. But, my family basically told me I had to “because all our family will want to see this.” Okay. So here it is. Also, I decided that I post all kinds of pictures of everyone, so I sort of have to do something completely corny of myself every once in a while, that way no one can complain that I never do!!
So, as you will see in the picture, we are expecting! And I am so SO happy! We had this picture made into a card that read “Great Parents get promoted to Grandparents” and gave to our parents as a way of telling them the good news.

And for those of you who will want to know, I set up my camera on my tripod, used the timer and ran out in front of the camera where Stu was waiting on me! (all this was done in our backyard…)

Celebrate Everyday Life

Recently I found a new album on Shutterfly.com that was titled “CELEBRATEeverydayLIFE” It is basically a photo album template that you use to insert your everyday pictures. Pictures of work, play, life. I loved it! It inspired me to take pictures of, well, just everyday life. As most of you know, I have my camera with me a lot. But I don’t take it, for example, just to eat supper with Mom and Dad. But last night I decided to do just that. And I shot whatever I saw. Here are a few: (hopefully these will not bore you…..!)
