The Brown’s

While in TN a few weeks ago I did a little family photo shoot for Uncle Howie, Aunt Linda, EE (short for Elizabeth) and Kat (short for Kathryn).

If you have been checking out the blog then you already know from the post before this one that I did a shoot in downtown TN, right on the TN river in the arts district, AND I LOVED IT! No kidding. It was so gorgeous.
I have only been to TN a couple of times, so I was depending on them to tell me where to do the shoot. And I was a little nervous heading out to do it (at 7:00 in the morning!!) having not been there before, I had no idea what to expect and what we had to work with. When Stu and I got there I realized I had nothing to worry about. Everywhere I looked was a fabulous backdrop for pictures. Like I said it was 7:am (well 7:30ish when we actually started shooting) and I am an early riser during the week due to my job, so I really like to sleep in on the weekends, especially now that I am pregnant. But when we got there and I saw the amazing light we had to work with, I decided it was well worth getting out of the bed for! The sun coming up over the river was just gorgeous!
And I think we got some pretty great pictures too! Here they are………..

Tennessee

We recently went to TN to visit family, and I did a little photo shoot while we were there. (pictures coming soon!) To do this photo shoot we went downtown to the Arts district, which is right on the TN river and absolutely gorgeous! I could have spent hours shooting in this area, but we were on a tight schedule so I had to move fast. Untill I get the actual shoot posted, here are a couple we took of the area…..

Family – the in-laws!

I tend to post a lot of pictures of my side of the family, but not so much my hubby’s side. The reason being half of them live out of town… But here are a few I took awhile back that I really liked…
Meet our nieces, Bailey and Allie. And our nephew, Owen……

Here is Bailey playing a game of ping-pong against Uncle Stu and Owen:

I LOVE this picture of Allie

Cameron

Remember baby Cameron from an earlier post? Well, he is growing up fast! We recently got together to do his pictures again and these are a few of my favorites…

This is my favorite of the day!

Cucumber? Pickle?

This post is so random! But I am sure you all are bored of coming on here and seeing nothing new. So, random as this may be, it is something new! And maybe will give you a little something to ponder……..

My Aunt (Aunt Millie) makes the best homemade pickles I have ever tasted. You know, the kind that are so sour you can’t eat them without squinting your eyes? And with just the perfect amount of salt? It is impossible to eat just one – trust me. And now that I am pregnant I don’t think those things have ever tasted so good! I cannot get enough of them.

She recently gave me some and told me to just add cucumbers to the juice when we ate them all. So I have been slicing up the cucumbers from my mother-in-laws garden and putting them in the juice when we get low.

The other night while Stu and I were eating them after supper I sat there and wondered “when does a cucumber become a pickle?” But before I could say this out loud Stuart says “when does a cucumber become a pickle?” What?! I was about to say that! I laughed. We decided we didn’t really know when exactly a cucumber becomes a pickle, we just knew they were delish!

I know, I know…..

I have been a terrible blogger lately. Sorry! I just happen to be working on projects that are not really bloggable (I think I just made up a word there!) I do have some family pictures that I need to get around to posting, and I have a few shoots in the works, but I am not sure when we will get them done. So, I am stopping by to say Thanks for continuing to check in, and I promise to post you some pictures soon! I will leave you with one picture from one of my current projects. We’ll call this the “Nursery Project”… I am taking pictures of ‘baby’ stuff to hang in my nursery and this is a little hat that someone made for my Mom when she had one of us. I will post pictures of the finished product one of these days when I get it finished! Hope you all have a fantastic week!

Golf = Relaxation?

On mine and Stuart’s very first date, we drove past a golf course. He asked if I had ever played or just rode along and watched someone play before. I told him I had never; to which he replied “I’ll have to take you some day, you’d like it.” Now don’t ask me why, but I pretty much informed him that I didn’t think I would like it and “thanks but no thanks”! Which started up a little argument – on our first date! Anyway, over the years it has sort of become a joke. And I decided that going to watch him play might be fun. He kept saying he would take me but we never got around to it.
Lately, I have been SO busy. And being pregnant has been exhausting! Stuart is constantly telling me to slow down and take it easy. “Relax” he says. One afternoon last week he informed me that we were “going to have some fun and get me away from work for awhile” And so we headed to the golf course, after all these years we were finally going to play golf!
And guess what. I actually had fun! I drove him around on the golf cart and took pictures while he played.

So, as the title reads Golf = Relaxation? Well, it did for me! Here are a few of the shots I got.
