Miscellaneous Monday

I know you all may find this hard to believe; but Kennedy does not like my camera! (this drives me nuts of course!) I have not done a ‘real’ photo shoot with her in months, and decided that I would do a quick one for Valentines day… lets just say it was not a success!  I had big plans for a gorgeous chair and cut out hearts outside, but instead wound up with these:

Oh well… maybe she will grow out of it!

Happy Monday! :)

Miscellaneous Monday

It’s all about Kennedy today… (as most Miscellaneous Monday’s are!)

These are just a few shots I got of her last week that I love…. first, here she is reading one of her books…

then she takes a phone call…

Then she blows me kisses after getting in her ‘car’…

As always, Happy Monday!

Tressa Ann

My youngest sister, Tressa Ann, asked me to take her pictures in a junk yard recently and I was thrilled with the idea! I used to take her picture all the time,  in fact I took a picture of her when she was about 2 years old (I guess I was 9 at the time… yikes!) and my Dad still carries it in his truck tucked in his sun visor to this day! She was always told she had a ‘million dollar smile’ and as I went through the pictures we took at the junk yard I remembered that same smile in that picture I had taken so long ago, so I borrowed it from my Dad and scanned it so I could include it in this post.

(note: if you see any items in these pictures you might like, you can contact Mike at The Red Cross Store in Oakboro… phone number: 704.425.8597)

Enjoy!

And now here she is today… all grown up!

I could not decide which of these next 3 I liked best… smile or no smile? color or sephia? So I just posted some of each!

I couldn’t decide on these next two either… so I posted both!

TC-

Thank you for being one of my biggest cheerleaders… love you!

Miscellaneous Monday

Okay, the weather here in NC is a bit …. ‘back and forth’ might be the right way to say it? This is why I say this… Only about 2 weeks ago we had 60 degree weather and gorgeous sunshine, which is when I snapped these two pictures:

Then this weekend, what do we get? Snow and 20 degree weather! Here are a couple of pictures I snapped of Kennedy playing in the snow:

I have to admit I am not a huge fan of snow… unless it is on the ski slopes! But, I was happy to get that cute picture of Kennedy and the snowman!

Happy Monday to you all, whether you have snow or sunshine, I hope it is fabulous!

Brooklyn

I recently did Brooklyn’s 6 month pictures and this little girl has the best personality! She just laughs and smiles at everything! We basically just plopped her down and let her do her thing while I captured her different expressions. Here are some of my favorites…..

This next one cracks me up! I love her expression!!

Thank again Courtney for asking me to do these for you… :)

Miscellaneous Monday

Cabin fever. That is what I have. Because I have been stuck in the house pretty much all weekend due to Kennedy being  sick :(    But, hopefully she will be well soon, I think she is getting better already! There is just something about having a sick baby, I never really understood why my Dad would always come home and kiss us and tell us “you know I would take it from you if I could….” when we were sick. Well, now I understand! I would take it from her if I could!  (for those of you who are curious, she has RSV, which has consisted of a runny nose, coughing and fever)

Onto other things, I am actually going to post a few pictures of myself! I don’t often get in front of the camera, so when I do I like to post the pictures just so you all remember what I look like and I am not just a faceless blogger! I definitely am not as comfy in front of the camera as I am behind it (truth be told I feel like a dork in front of the camera!)… but I like to try and jump in front every once in a while just so I’ll have a few pictures. My hubby Stuart snapped these first two one day when we were heading out….

This next one I snapped while outside one day… it was not planned, I just looked at my shadow and snapped the picture, but I like the way it turned out! Kind of artsy….

For those of you who do not know me, and since I don’t often talk about myself on the blog, I’ll give you a few little facts about myself real quick… As you can see I am expecting, this is baby #2 for us. We have a little girl named Kennedy right now. We do not know if this is a boy or a girl and I am due on March 17th! Okay, there you go… Now onto more pictures, these are of Kennedy eating breakfast one morning, I just thought they were cute and since this is Miscellaneous Monday I decided to post them!

Happy Monday to you all!  Have a fantastic week!

Sailor

If you keep up with my blog at all you will recognize this little cutie… Sailor. She is adorable and I always love shooting her. Her Mom always dresses her up in the cutest stuff and is always open for any and everything I suggest, gotta love that! Sailor turned one year old back in December so we got together for a photo shoot of eating birthday cake on the floor while dressed up in a tutu! (like I said, her Mom is cool!) Here are some of my favorites…

I have no idea why she laid down and cried here in this next one, but I LOVE it! I love capturing the ‘real’ moments. And it reminds me of the song “It’s my birthday and I’ll cry if I want to, cry if I want too…. ”

We went outside for some in her Christmas outfit… but it was damp and cold so that did not last long! We did get a couple though…
