Miscellaneous Monday

I am going to warn you…As I type this I don’t even know what I am going to post! I still have not had my baby (was due on Wednesday) and honestly, I am doing okay. The first and second days after my due date I was a little down, and kept hoping I would have my baby soon. But as the days go on I am doing better. I know it has to happen sooner or later and I am just getting used to the idea that it is not going to happen till it happens! (does that make sense? I am not sure it does… but we’ll go with it!) I guess what I am saying is that when it is meant to be it will be. Period. And so I am just taking one day at a time.

And apparently not taking any pictures! Because as I think back this week my ‘one day at a time’ did not include picking up my camera! (I know, shame on me!) Last week I had hoped to be posting pictures of our new baby by now, but maybe we’ll get to do that soon!

Thanks to all of you for the well wishes! They really mean so much to me.  Whether you commented here on the blog, sent me an email, picked up the phone and called me or told me in person… THANKS! I really do appreciate it.

Speaking of the new baby, I plan to take his/her picture weekly for one year as I did with Kennedy.  I keep a file of all 52 weeks I took of Kennedy (just one shot out of each week) and this one is still one of my favorites (she was just learning to wave!) I am going to re-post it now because all posts are better with pictures!

Um, my cursor got a little click happy and grabbed a few more ‘favorites’ as I was in that file getting that one… ;)

Wow… I cannot believe how much she has grown up! Seeing these again makes me excited to take the new babies pictures weekly. It is a lot of work, but so worth it!

Thanks to all of you for hanging around listening to my ramblings… Happy Monday! XoXo

Easton

Easton will be one year old this week! I did a really quick shoot with him yesterday, when I say quick, I mean all of about 20 minutes!  He never stopped moving and did not pay me one bit of attention – typical one year old!  But, we still managed to capture some adorable pictures; here are some of my favorites……

He would rather pull the plates off the wall than sit and smile, so we moved outside after these two!

Love this one…

I love these next two, but couldn’t decide if I liked the color or B&W better… so you get to see both!

A favorite!

Miscellaneous Monday

So, this week is my due date! YAY! Wednesday is the big day… the one we have been looking forward too. So, I am hoping to have a new baby sometime soon!

We (Stuart and I) spent a little bit of quality time with Kennedy at the park yesterday… we wanted to spend a little time with her before she becomes a big sister and her world, as she knows it, changes.  I only snapped a few pictures while we were there, here are two that I got:

Ah! I do love that little girl!

I hope you all have a fantastic Monday!

Brooklyn

I wanted to play around a bit using some fabric as a backdrop, so I asked Brooklyn to come over and model for me… and a cute model she was! I plan on trying this out with several different ages and sizes of kids and maybe adults too, and possibly offering mini sessions.   As of now I have only tried it out on Brooklyn; I LOVE how these turned out, but I think I still love the outdoor/natural look best… however, it is something different and maybe something that I might do more of in the winter when it is too cold to be outside. Either way, here is what I got…

I will leave you with this one because something about it I LOVE…. it just feels so happy!

Miscellaneous Monday

Sooooo, I forgot to blog today! Till now, thanks to my Grandmother calling to see how I was feeling and making sure I was not in labor since I did not blog today! If she had not called, I am not sure when I would have even thought about it. And maybe no one else thought of it either, but if anyone did - here I am! Back again with Miscellaneous Monday, and not in labor yet! I still have 9 days till my due date, and yes, I am aware that I can go late, but if you have ever been pregnant you know that it is a good feeling to just have nine days till that day you’ve been looking forward to for 9 months!

So, besides counting down till my due date this Misc. Monday, I do have a few pictures of Kennedy I’ll share with you too. These are just some snapshots taken awhile back, but I like them….

And here she is doing what she does so well in front of my camera… hiding!

Happy Monday! :)

Miscellaneous Monday

Since today is “Miscellaneous Monday” I want to share with you a couple of things that I love!

First up is a hair bow flower made by Chatti Patti. Every single time Kennedy has this in her hair I get compliments on it – it is just that cute! Here are a couple of pictures of it:

Isn’t it just adorable?! To see more from Chatti Patti, go here.

Next up, My Mom’s purse’s… awhile back she started making purse’s for my sisters and I, then friends and other family members started asking for them. I get asked “where did you get your purse?” all the time so I decided to snap some pictures of a few she has made lately and post them here for all to see!  Because personally, I think she should start selling them!  If you would like to talk to her about having one made, shoot me an email, I’ll get you connected with her.

This one has two pockets on the inside (front and back) and has a magnetic snap closure.

Same purse, different fabric:

Close up of the front:

This one is called the ‘sling-back’ style bag. It also has two pockets inside and a magnetic snap closure.

There you go; a few things I love!

Also, loving the fact that today is March 1st… that means my birthday is this week and my baby is due this month! Yay!

Happy Monday everyone! :)

Max

Ah… something about babies… they are just so precious! Meet baby Max, he belongs to my cousin Heidi and Devin. He was 6 weeks old when we did this shoot, I had good intentions of getting his picture sooner, but it just didn’t happen! Some of these pictures are the same except for his expressions, and since I had a hard time choosing I decided to post several of them! Enjoy………

This is how I found him when I got there:

This could possibly be my favorite ‘feet’ shot!

This is big sister Tori….

And a few of Tori and Kennedy jumping on the bed! I love these so much… I love the ‘feel’ of them!

And while we are on the subject of babies…. my due date is 3 weeks from today! We are SO excited!! I have already started booking shoots for after the baby is born, so if you would like to get on my calendar, just shoot me an email or call me. I am super excited about spring and summer shoots!

Miscellaneous Monday

Okay, big news….. Kennedy smiled at me when I pulled my camera out the other night! If you saw last Monday’s post you’ll understand why I am super excited about this! These pictures are not perfect, we were about to walk out the door, and I just thought she looked so cute with her pigtails so I grabbed my camera to take a picture of her… it was dark so I was forced to use flash, but I love them anyway!

She is trying to share her cookie with her Daddy in this one!

Happy Monday!

Snow pictures

It probably comes as no surprise that we had snow last weekend considering that I hear49 of the states did! So while I don’t LOVE the snow, I did think it was gorgeous and was thrilled when Aja and Mike stopped by with their kids for a few pictures… However, the kids were not feeling it, they only felt cold so we only got a few, but I love what we did get!

I love the next picture!

After looking at these pictures I find myself thinking I’d like to do some more snow shoots… they just look so crisp, clean and different. But then I think Nah, we’d have to have more snow to do more snow shoots, and I am just ready for summer right now!

Sol – Valentines Shoot

Remember the sneak peek of Baby Sol’s Valentines Day shoot? Well, here is the full post of this cutie pie!

Love these next few!

I think it is a common problem for Mom’s to never be in pictures… we are always the ones taking the pictures! So Erica jumped in a couple per her husbands request (sweet husband!) and I just love them!

Thanks again for another fun shoot!
