Miscellaneous Monday

Chili, soup, pumpkins, hot chocolate, camp fires, s’mores, hayrides…. October is here and I am loving it!  I love fall and all that it brings. The ‘fallish’ things and the holidays….I just love it all!

I am also loving these few pictures that I grabbed off my camera (very quickly) of my sister and her new husband on their wedding day. Holly and Jonathan were married Saturday and it was a perfect day! They had a gorgeous day for a backyard wedding…

Alicia was the photographer, I hung around with her while she shot them after the ceremony and before the reception… mostly just to be there for anything I could help with and of course snap a few pictures from my angle. :)     I pulled these 3 out really quick because I know our families will be wanting to see a sneak peek. I haven’t even looked at them all yet, but just seeing these has me super excited to see what Alicia captured!

I love love love this picture, it radiates happiness!

Holly, you looked gorgeous and I am so happy for you and Jonathan! Congrats to you both :)

Happy Monday!

My girls & gorgeous hair flowers

I used my girls as models recently… they modeled hair flowers for the uber talented Monica of McGeeMommy. Seriously, Monica makes some of the most gorgeous and unique hair flowers. I am in LOVE with them. But, she makes more than just hair flowers… she makes really neat coloring book bags that holds the book and the crayons, she makes some precious baby stuff, hats, burp clothes, diaper covers, diaper bags… among many other things. So be sure to check her out!

I was happy to help her out when she told me she needed a few pictures for advertising, and was even happier that I managed to get some pictures of my girls that I love. Win-win situation!

First up is Kennedy Grace…. honestly I am really happy to have these pictures of her because she gives me such a fit having her picture made that I just don’t even do it most of the time. Well, I don’t try to get ones that I really want… I’ll just take a quick snap shot of her. Normally when I try to take her picture she says “No Momma! No!” Ughhhhh…. however, I am loving these….even though she didn’t make it easy!

Something about this one just gets me….

This was a “no Momma” moment:

And now for my second sweet girl, Bristol Lynn: (she has not learned to dislike the camera like her big sis yet!)

Monica; we love your work and wish I had just an ounce of the talent you have!  Keep crafting and creating :) XoXo

The Huntleys ~A family shoot~

Finally! I am getting around to posting the rest of this family shoot. (this is more from what I posted last week).

Meet four good-looking brothers and one gorgeous sister; Jade, Jansen, Jase, Cannon and Dash

The kids talked their Mom into getting her picture made too even though their Dad had “previous plans” that could not be changed.. Chet, I think I’ll have to give you a hard time about that next time I see you ;)

Dash blowing kisses in these next two, love it!

Mmmm, I love this one of Jade!

Okay, I have to say that I love love love this one! One of her brothers was blowing bubbles at her, she reached up to popped one just as I snapped, I didn’t even realized I had captured it till I got home and saw it on my computer… I love how she is laughing, how you can see the spray of the popped bubble all around her and how there is a bubble in the foreground – I just love everything about it! In fact, it is capturing moments like these that make me extra happy to get to do what I do – it’s real life, and I captured it :)

Thank you guys for being so awesome and trusting me and any idea’s I had… I had a blast!

Miscellaneous Monday

First of all, I’d like to say a huge HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my Grandfather. I love you Poppa :)

And since I am feeling a little under-the-weather right now, I am going to share a few pictures with you and call it my Miscellaneous Monday post.

Bristol ‘reading’ her books:

And to those of you who want to know; yes, those cheeks are quite kissable!

Ohh, it’s a funny book!

I snapped this one right after they both got up one morning… I think the fact they both have fingers in their mouths is sort of cute :)

Happy Monday!

Dash

I started going through pictures from a shoot this morning – planning to get them on the blog today. But I got interrupted about 3,000 times in 15 minutes (okay, slight exaggeration there…but, I did hear “Momma, I want juice” ….. “Momma, I want beaps” – that means ‘grapes’ and many other wants and needs :) ) Anyway, that being said, I decided I’d be better off to finish this when my girls are sleeping.  But, I just have to post some of these first one’s I got through – before I decided to give it up. Dash is the baby of this family and is absolutely adorable!  A lot of these pictures are very much alike, but I was having a hard time deciding which ones not to post. So, I am going to post them all, and will get to the rest of this shoot…..soon!

He discovered this watering can, with water in it, and was so pleased!

See what I mean? How was I supposed to choose between those?!

And one last picture, this is of everyone, with Dash front and center (well, maybe not center)… He jumped off his sisters lap and ran off smiling and laughing at me. I must admit, I love this one!

Okay… that is all for now. I am off to get ‘beaps’, juice and I am sure quite a few other things! :)

As for this shoot, I will post the rest … can I just say ‘soon’ again?! Okay, soon, I promise!

Ally

Meet Allyson Rebecca “Ally”….. She is the sweet baby of my friend/cousin Paulette and her hubby Matt. Baby number 4 for them, and the older siblings are so proud to have her!

One of her siblings, Cameron, making sure I am taking care of his baby sister… he kept coming right up to the bed and trying to kiss her and touch her, it was adorable!

Congrats Paulette and Matt… she is perfect!

Miscellaneous Monday

Have I mentioned that life is busy right now? Oh yes, I’ve mentioned it, about every Monday, right?!  Well, I am going to stop talking about how busy I am, and reasons for not blogging because I am starting to feel like I am making excuses. And I don’t like that. The truth is I am busy every year this time of the year till after Christmas. It is just a busy time. Personal life and the business of snapping pictures…both are busy busy busy this time of year for me.

So, with that being said, please bear with me while I may or may not blog Miscellaneous Monday on time. And thank you for asking me about it, for looking forward to my blog posts and for just being great blog readers. I love ya for that! Thank you. I hope that with each post I am able to bring a smile to your face and make your day just a little bit sweeter.

Now speaking of sweet, this little girl is sweet.

And this little girl… well she is sweet, but is also a pain to take pictures of! Ugh! When she saw me taking Bristol’s picture she said “Momma! Me too!” I asked verrrrry clearly “YOU want ME to take YOUR picture?!?” To which she replied “Yes!” And this is all I got:

Ugh! Kennedy really!?

I do love these two that I snapped of her at the fair though:

Happy Monday to you all… what is left of it anyway!

Emerson

Julie brought Emerson over several weeks ago for me to snap a few more pictures of him since he is growing up SO fast! Since I am blogging on the run again (hey at least I am blogging! haha!) I’ll let the pictures do the talking….

Love the way he has his little hand up on his chin in this one!

Julie didn’t plan to get pictures of herself, but we snapped this one real quick…

Have a GREAT weekend everyone!

Sol

I know, this is amazing. I am actually blogging for the 2nd time in one week! Seriously, I am sorry for the lack of blogging lately… I just seem to be busy busy busy!  In fact, I blogged in such a hurry on this post that I forgot to edit the pictures! As I stepped over Kennedy’s play vacuum cleaner on my bathroom floor to put away a load of towels it hit me - I didn’t edit the pictures I had blogged earlier that day! (weird how things will hit you at the strangest times isn’t it?!) I don’t edit my pictures a whole lot, but I do like to run them through Lightroom.. But I decided I didn’t have time to take those off, edit them, and then re-post. So I just left them.

Okay, I got totally off the subject there. Back to this post, which is all about Sol. He is adorable and he has now turned ONE! I have been taking his pictures since he was just a tiny baby. We got together about every 3 months or so to document his first year. And I have to say, I am a little bit sad that first year is over.  But, they promise that I have not seen the last of them. (yes, there is more to this family than just Sol… he has a wonderful Mom, Dad and 3 older siblings! We are currently planning a family shoot, so maybe you’ll get to see them all on here soon)

And without further ado… here are some of my favorites from this session:

I snapped this one right after I got to their house, and I love it!

Right after a quick bath to get all that cake off of him:

Okay, in the rest of these pictures he is wearing a shirt that he wore the day they brought him home from hospital! His Mom said that she normally would not choose this shirt for a photoshoot, but since he could still wear it one year later she just had to include it!

Riding on Daddy’s shoulders watching 2 of his older siblings….

Favorite of the day:

Happy 1st Birthday Sol! Thanks for always being such a sweetheart in front of my camera!

Miscellaneous Monday

I had full intentions of posting more last week. But when my friend called and suggested that we load up our kids and head to the beach, well, those intentions to blog more were put on hold! We loaded up my two girls, her little boy and headed to her parents beach house. It was last minute and we didn’t stay long, but we had SO much fun!

As much as I wanted to, I didn’t take my ‘nice’ camera and lens out on the beach, I had my hands full without the camera! But I did take a small camera, here are a few snapshots….

Kennedy loved the seashells:

Her expression as the waves hit her feet for the first time:

Not sure what she was pointing at here….  there was so much that she pointed out to me; the fishing boats, the birds, the waves, the sand, everything! She would squeal with delight when a big wave would come in and say “Look Momma! Big one!”

Easton enjoying a coke…

Bristol discovering the sand on her little toes…

Bristol has also discovered her hands… I love how she holds them up and looks at them and moves them around, it is adorable!
