Cucumber? Pickle?

This post is so random! But I am sure you all are bored of coming on here and seeing nothing new. So, random as this may be, it is something new! And maybe will give you a little something to ponder……..

My Aunt (Aunt Millie) makes the best homemade pickles I have ever tasted. You know, the kind that are so sour you can’t eat them without squinting your eyes? And with just the perfect amount of salt? It is impossible to eat just one – trust me. And now that I am pregnant I don’t think those things have ever tasted so good! I cannot get enough of them.

She recently gave me some and told me to just add cucumbers to the juice when we ate them all. So I have been slicing up the cucumbers from my mother-in-laws garden and putting them in the juice when we get low.

The other night while Stu and I were eating them after supper I sat there and wondered “when does a cucumber become a pickle?” But before I could say this out loud Stuart says “when does a cucumber become a pickle?” What?! I was about to say that! I laughed. We decided we didn’t really know when exactly a cucumber becomes a pickle, we just knew they were delish!

I know, I know…..

I have been a terrible blogger lately. Sorry! I just happen to be working on projects that are not really bloggable (I think I just made up a word there!) I do have some family pictures that I need to get around to posting, and I have a few shoots in the works, but I am not sure when we will get them done. So, I am stopping by to say Thanks for continuing to check in, and I promise to post you some pictures soon! I will leave you with one picture from one of my current projects. We’ll call this the “Nursery Project”… I am taking pictures of ‘baby’ stuff to hang in my nursery and this is a little hat that someone made for my Mom when she had one of us. I will post pictures of the finished product one of these days when I get it finished! Hope you all have a fantastic week!

Golf = Relaxation?

On mine and Stuart’s very first date, we drove past a golf course. He asked if I had ever played or just rode along and watched someone play before. I told him I had never; to which he replied “I’ll have to take you some day, you’d like it.” Now don’t ask me why, but I pretty much informed him that I didn’t think I would like it and “thanks but no thanks”! Which started up a little argument – on our first date! Anyway, over the years it has sort of become a joke. And I decided that going to watch him play might be fun. He kept saying he would take me but we never got around to it.
Lately, I have been SO busy. And being pregnant has been exhausting! Stuart is constantly telling me to slow down and take it easy. “Relax” he says. One afternoon last week he informed me that we were “going to have some fun and get me away from work for awhile” And so we headed to the golf course, after all these years we were finally going to play golf!
And guess what. I actually had fun! I drove him around on the golf cart and took pictures while he played.

So, as the title reads Golf = Relaxation? Well, it did for me! Here are a few of the shots I got.

A little taste of nature…

I love pictures of water drops… as I am sure you can tell by the picture that stay’s up at the top of my blog! (that is actually morning dew on grass) Anyway, I was out watering my flowers the other day and could not help but grab my camera for a few shots of the water droplets on my Elephant Ears….
(sorry, some of these are so much alike, but I couldn’t decide which I liked better!)

And this little flower is one I noticed while at my Aunt’s house awhile back… I just loved it!

The Love Family

Here are some more from the little teaser I posted before this; meet the Love’s – Justin, Alicia, Ansley, Addison and Elle Grace.

I just love the look on Elle Grace’s face here!

Unfortunately, she really was not into getting her picture made – but we found out later that she did not feel good….

Elle Grace is still not feeling it! But for some reason, I love this picture! (do you all think I am awful?!) I just think it is so real!

I chased her around and managed to get some really good ones….

And she really liked the park!

We also got some of Mom and Dad by themselves….

I just love this little series of Ansley and Addison!

Justin and Alicia- Thanks so much for asking me to do your pictures – I had a blast!
And to all my blog readers- I hope the rest of your weekend is wonderful!

Sneak peak…

Okay, I don’t normally post teasers, but I just couldn’t help it this time!… I am sitting here editing and came across this one:

This is from a shoot I did this past weekend; Is she just adorable or what?! I will not make any promises as to when I will finish these pictures, but I will be posting more – sometime! So stay tuned!

The Champion Family

Whew. I honestly think we picked the hottest day of the year to do this shoot! But we got it done! Heat, fire ants and all!
Meet Jeff, Sharon, Gini and Jared…..

And now, I am going to do something very rare these days… I am taking the rest of the night off to hang out with my hubby! Yay! (my computer seems to get more of my time lately then he does)
