The Watkins Family

Most families, including my own, do not make a point to get a family picture made. I am talking about grandparents, kids, wives, husbands and grandkids… the whole family! And I think that it is so important!

So, when Carol called me awhile back and said that her Mother-in-law wanted to get some family pictures while they were all together (some of them live in TN) I was excited, but nervous… I always get nervous when I am shooting big groups! But, I think we got some great pictures! (of course, it didn’t hurt that I had a great looking family to work with!) Thanks again you all!

Seriously, I think Claire is just to cute for words!

I love this picture!
and this one too!

Nikki and Ryan

I had not met Nikki and Ryan before our shoot, and one of the first things Nikki told me was that she had been watching America’s Next Top Model since she had booked me and that she knew how to strike a pose! And boy did she ever! She was fabulous in front of the camera! But I am not so sure it was just the show, Nikki is confident, fun and just comfortable in her skin and I happen to think that is what made her so easy to shoot. I liked her immediately. Ryan was just as easy, so together they are great!

Thanks Nikki and Ryan for the opportunity to shoot you, I was glad to hear that you “had a slight problem with your pictures — not being able to decide which ones to print!” I like to hear about those kinds of problems! Thanks again!

At one point I asked Ryan and Nikki to “jump up in the air” I had no idea they’d do this! LOVE it!
Several times they acted as if I was not even around… which I loved! In this next little series I had walked off and turned around to find Nikki standing on the curb falling on Ryan.. When I turned back and saw it I just started snapping away! (click to see a bigger picture)
Here, I had walked across the street and when I turned around they were dancing… love it!

Sneak Peek

I am behind. Way behind. But I am not complaining because I have had work! Yay! But my computer got sick, so that put me even more behind…. But now that I have it back I wanted to share a little sneak peek of a super fun couple I recently shot. I hope to have more of them up soon. Very soon. Like maybe tomorrow soon!

Till then, enjoy this one picture!

Rachel

I knew this was going to be a great shoot when Rachel suggested a location that I have wanted to shoot at for a long time! She wanted some 8 month maternity pictures, and I was happy to do them for her. (Yes, that’s right, EIGHT months pregnant, she is tiny isn’t’ she?!) We had so much fun and she was up for anything that I suggested!
me: can you go sit on that rotten stump? Rachel: sure!
me: how about getting in the water and splashing around? Rachel: no problem!
I love it when people trust me and just do whatever for the shot!

She definitely has that ‘glow’….

Family

These are a few pictures we took on our recent trip to Charleston with the family… I have said this before, but I’ll say it again, family pictures like these may bore most of you (sorry!) but I like to post them for my family…

Kennedy seeing the ocean for the first time… love the look on her face!!

I loooooove this picture!
Picking up her first sea-shell…
Stu took these and I think he did a fabulous job!

Stu proposed to me here in this park, so we had to have our picture made there with Kennedy..

Haha! I love this picture!

These are a few random pictures I took….
Me and my sisters….
Hope your weekend is fantastic!

Megan and Kendall: Prom

Megan and Kendall recently went to the prom and asked me to take pictures of them before they left… and I had so much fun doing it! As most of you know, I shy away from weddings. So it is not often that I get to shoot a couple all dressed up in a tux and gorgeous dress! (I love the skirt on Megan’s dress)

Did I mention that I love the skirt on this dress?!
If any of you girls out there want prom pictures of you and your date, or just you and your girlfriends, let me know… I’d be happy to do them for you. Even if your prom is already over, you could put the dress back on, have some fun, and get some great pictures to remember it all! And personally, I think it would be cool to do a group of girls, we could do some of you all together and then each of you by yourselves.
Happy Thursday!

Me: in action

As promised, here are a few pictures of me in action while taking Jonathan and Holly’s pictures in Charleston… Tressa Ann and Kristen (my sister and my brothers girlfriend) came along with us on the shoot. I heard them giggling and turned around to find them looking at their camera’s of pictures they had snapped of me! Ah, they are just so sweet! (read with sarcasm) Apparently they thought taking pictures of me laying on the ground were the best, since that is mostly what we have here! haha!

Okay, now you all need to leave me nice comments telling me how cute I look! HA!

Holly and Jonathan

We recently went to Charleston with my family, and while we were there I did a photo shoot for Holly and Jonathan. (for those of you who don’t know, Holly is my sister and Jonathan is her boyfriend) Everywhere we went we found awesome places to shoot! I love Charleston!

(I meant to get some of Jonathan by himself, but I sorta failed to do so!)

I’ve mentioned ‘out-takes’ before; the pictures that got pulled out of the ‘best’ pile for some reason or another…. this one (below) made me laugh out loud! The look on Holly’s face, and her hand!! I really don’t remember why she made this face, but I just had to post it! (love ya Sis!)
