Family fun at the Lake!

We always celebrate MawMaw’s birthday at my Aunt and Uncle’s house up at the lake… here are a few of the pictures from this year.

(remember, you can click the images to enlarge them….)

a few ‘jumping’ pictures…

Aunt Pamela and Jillie decorated the cake…

yours truly right in the center here!

Thank you

Yes, I know I have blogged a “thank you” before – a couple of times actually – but I feel that I just can’t say it enough…. So, here I am again, posting just to say a huge THANK YOU!

Thank you to all of you who visit my blog, who leave comments, who email, call or tell me in person how much you enjoy my blog and my pictures. Honestly, it means so much. I am humbled and inspired. Inspired to do more, get more creative, and take more chances.

And a special Thank you to all of you who have asked me to take your pictures. I love taking pictures, and to know that you all trust me to capture moments in your lives to remember, to cherish and to look back on is again, humbling. Thank you.

I’ll leave you with a couple of pretty pictures from my parents yard I took over the weekend….

I love quotes and I just thought these were too cute!

Happy Tuesday!

Kennedy – again!

Sorry for being a little slack on posting lately… but Kennedy has really been the only one in front of my camera these days. It seems like I got pretty busy there for awhile, and now I only have one shoot that is a sure thing… and about 4 that are supposed to happen, just not on the books yet. So, if you want to get in front of my camera – now is the time!

Till then, here is yet another handful of Miss Kennedy Grace!

Kennedy

As I typed the title to this post I had to wonder how many posts have had that same title – ‘Kennedy’? Haha! Oh well, she is my little girl, so it is to be expected! Here are yet another handful of pictures of her….

First off; just a random picture of her that I like…

Now, before these next pictures let me give you a quick little update. She is now 8 months old and still not crawling yet, every day I think she is going to take off and crawl, but it hasn’t happend yet. (although I do think she is teasing me and has crawled when I was not watching. I have caught her on her hands and knees several feet away from where she had been sitting…) Anyway, she normally hangs out with me in the kitchen while I cook supper. So when I found a Jr. rolling pin I just had to get it for her! Here she is playing with it while I cooked one night…

Then it got away from her…

at first she acted like she was going to go after it…
then decided that since I was right there she would just fuss at me to get it for her..

when I didn’t jump up and get it for her she tried again..

then she sat back up and stuck her fingers in her mouth as if she was thinking hmmm, what to do now?

haha! I guess she’ll crawl when she decides too!

This is another random picture I just love!

Happy Monday everybody!

Julie and Sean (and Piper!)

If you are a long time blog reader you’ve probably noticed me mention my good friend Julie. She is a fabulous artist, you can check her out here: www.artbyjpaige.blogspot.com
She and her hubby Sean have been married for 5 years now and have never had ‘good’ pictures made. So, we fixed that! Where is the sense in having a photographer friend and no good pictures of yourself?!

Julie was so nervous about getting in front of my camera! She would say “I want to have pictures of us, I just don’t want to have to get them done!” But she did GREAT! And then made me feel so good because she told me that I made them completely comfortable and they had a blast! Yay! Well, I must me doing something right huh?

Okay, now for the pictures…

Hellooooo gorgeous!

haha! love this one!

I love these next three; they are just so fun!

Holdyn’s Birthday

It seems like my friends and I just started having kids, and now, one of them has already turned One year old! Wow!

I took my camera to Holdyn’s birthday party but it stayed in the bag most of the time. I know, shameful. But here are a few I grabbed…..

Brittany (his Mom) made this cake, isn’t it adorable?!

I did get some pictures of the best part of the party… him digging into his cake! At first he went at it with his hands…

Then he decided to just go face first! hahaha!

Kennedy loved Holdyn’s swing…

and this is a sneak peek of a shoot I did over the weekend… I’ll be blogging it soon!
Happy Monday! (well, the day is pretty much over… Happy Monday night!)

Katie and Justin: Wedding

My cousin, Justin, got married last weekend. I was not the photographer, but, I did take my camera along for a few pictures! I didn’t get a whole lot because I didn’t want to get in the ‘real’ photographers way and I didn’t want to use my flash once it got dark. But, here are a few I did get….

I love this one of Poppa, I really can’t tell you why. I just do.

The groom…

his best man…

I could not get a great picture of the bride coming down the aisle, or of the groom seeing her for the first time (due to people behind and in front of me) and I figured the photographers would get both of those shots. So, I opted to shoot Connie, Katies Mom, seeing her daughter walk down the aisle… and I am glad I did! I love the ‘feeling’ of these…

Connie looking back at Justin to see his reaction:

Here is one of Katie coming down the aisle… I love how her Dad is looking at her. (Isn’t she stunning?!)
I did get one of Justin looking at Katie for the first time… But you have to look through my Uncle’s arm! haha!
Love the way Justin is looking at her here!…
A few details…. (click image to enlarge)

I love this little dance series…. This is the brides sister, Jessie, dancing with their grandfather… (click to enlarge)

Autumn and Eli

It’s a Mother-son shoot; a gift for Dad. Maybe we’ll get him in here next time around!

As I took this picture I couldn’t help but think of the saying When they are young they step on your toes and when they are grown they step on your heart…

He fell sound asleep while we were shooting!

Ah! He is adorable!!

We took a few with his monkey…

Autumn, Thanks for driving so far. Your little boy is precious! Can’t wait to see you again!!

Brittany, Mark and Holdyn

Family pictures of Brittany, Mark and Holdyn…. Warning: these pictures have a cute little boy with spiked hair in them! And, he is one year old today! Happy Birthday Holdyn!

he is constantly on the move!
Haha! the way he is holding his mouth here is hysterical! (you may have to click the image to enlarge to really see what I am talking about…)
Feeding his Dad some ‘greens’!

Kennedy

Well, well, well, it has been awhile since Miss Kennedy made an appearance on the blog! (It has been more than a whole week! gasp! haha!) And since I know you all are missing her terribly, here are a few pictures for ya!

These are a few from one of her weekly shoots…

These are some miscellaneous pictures… the first one is her taking a nap, and I just LOVE it!

I love the ‘golden hour’ light in these next two…

and this picture was taken in the exact same spot as the two above only minutes later! Totally different color huh? But I love it just as much!

For those of you who have asked “does she ever cry?” the answer is “yes!” and here is your proof:
