Jax

Meet Jax; the newest member of our family! He belongs to my cousin Ginny and her hubby Kyle.

Ginny is incredibly laid back and suggested that Kennedy and Kourtnie ’hold’ him (really Ginny held him on their laps) I was not sure about this and was a little nervous, (nervous that Kennedy would grab him or something!)  but Ginny insisted it would be okay and I have to admit that it made the most adorable picture!

Congrats Ginny and Kyle! He is adorable!!

Sailer

This little girl has been on my blog a few times now, and she seriously gets more adorable every time I see her!    For this shoot we used a mirror for most of the pictures; I have always loved reflective pictures, and what could be better than seeing two of a cute little girl?!

Thank you again Aja for allowing me to shoot your little girl… it is always an honor to have her in front of my camera! XoXo

Poppa’s 75th Birthday Bash!

Poppa, my grandfather, turns 75 this month. He means so much to us all; by ‘us all’ I mean his wife,  5 children, their spouses, 25 grandkids, (not counting spouses and boyfriends/girlfriends) and 3 great-grandkids… Yes, it is a big family! And yes, we all  feel lucky and honored that he is the backbone of our family. So, I wanted to share a few pictures from his birthday bash.

(these are going to be small since I have so many!)

Fall

Here we are today, the last day of summer, and I am pretty excited about fall and all that it brings! Fall is my favorite season… and to kick things off, here are a couple of pictures I took at the fair last week.

Goodbye summer!

Dustin, Chasity and Wade

Meet Wade… an ardorable almost-5-year-old!

post (1)

The focus for this shoot was mostly on Wade… but we also got some with his Mom, Chasity… (and this little boy does love his Mom, it was so sweet watching the two of them together!)

We even got some of Chasity and Dustin…

Thanks again for having me do your pictures! (and for hanging out waiting on me while I was in the wrong spot waiting on you!)

Imperfect picture; Perfect memory.

Going through some of my pictures today (trying to get ahead!) I realized that some of the technically imperfect pictures are very dear to my heart! I have a habit of skipping over the pictures that I don’t feel are the best… by that I mean the lighting, the color, the focus, the composition, all that good stuff! But, even though these are not the ‘best’ pictures, they are some of my favorites simply because of the story they tell, or the memory.

First, here is Kennedy going to meet her Daddy when he came home from work one day this week…. She gets SO excited when he comes home and it just melts my heart! I just happened to be playing outside with her (and my camera) when he came home that day, and so I snapped away as she took off to meet him…

Here she is doing one of her favorite things… cleaning out the drawer!  I love how she is looking over her shoulder in the second one like “opps, I just got caught!”

And last, here she is at the pool… her face is way to dark in this picture, but I still love it!

Solomyn

Meet baby Sol; a precious little baby boy.   His Mom had some very specific idea’s of what she wanted, and so we did just that, and here is what we captured….

I loved his pants!

I couldn’t decide between the next two wich I liked better… so I posted them both!

I am sure I have said it before; but I’ll say it again… I love pictures of baby feet! And this one is no exception!

Erica; it was so good to meet you and Sol… He is adorable! And I hope these pictures will help to remind you for years to come of this fleeting ‘newborn’ stage….
