3 Brothers and a little sister….

Okay, I just have to say first off… can you imagine the trouble this little girl is going to have when she is old enough to date, with three big brothers?! These adorable kids kept me (and their Mom) moving throughout the whole shoot, but we had a blast! Here are a few of my favorite shots from the shoot….

You might notice the baby doll in pretty much every picture… she didn’t want to let it go, which I thought was adorable! To me, it is things like this that make a picture, because it is real.

I love how she is feeding her baby it’s bottle in the picture below!

I love this one! (below)

At the end of the shoot we let the kids have some fun in the leaves… and again, I loved it!

Just like a girl to be trying to clean up while the boys make a mess! Haha!

Well, there were more pictures than the norm in this post! Oh well, hope you enjoyed them!

Thanks again Shanda for asking me to take your kids pictures!

Miscellaneous Monday

Whew! It has been busy busy busy around here! Christmas is over and I am a little sad, but excited for the new year too. This Miscellaneous Monday I bring you a few random pictures from the past week, they are simply snapshots straight out of my camera.

I hope you all had a fantastic Christmas!  Happy Monday!

Miscellaneous Monday

On this Miscellaneous Monday I’d like to say a big Thank You to all of my blog readers and especially my clients this past year. Thank you for your support, for your encouragement, for your comments, for asking me to take your pictures and capturing your moments – whatever they may have been. Thank you!   I feel incredibly blessed to be able to stay at home with my daughter (and soon to be 2nd child, boy or girl, we will know in March!) and still be able to do what I love – photography. Thank you for helping make this possible.

I will be posting more after Christmas, but for now I am spending a few days in TN with family and then coming home just in time for Christmas…. Merry Christmas to you and yours!

And Happy Monday!

Happy Anniversary Ed and Lina!

Ed and Lina have recently been married for 20 years now and their kids asked me to do a special post just for them! I thought that was so sweet and I am more than happy to do it!

Dad and Mom:

Happy 20th Anniversary! Without all of us the years would have been boring and Dad wouldn’t be able to talk about all the drama, meltdowns and fun we have!

Love, Kelsey, Carlie, Melody, Kendall, Valerie, Rex, Kami and Alec

And here are a few pictures we took of them together when we did the shoot I blogged yesterday…. Happy Anniversary Ed and Lina!

Family

As I have mentioned before, I always get a little nervous with big groups, so I was a wee bit nervous to shoot this family! But, I found that they were super easy to work with and we got some great shots! Here are some of my favorites……

Thanks again to all of you!

Miscellaneous Monday

This year seemed to sneak up on me so fast as far as getting pictures made for our Christmas card… I suddenly realized I had not taken the first picture for our card and so I got busy fast! Kennedy was teething and had a runny nose on the day we did these, but I thought she did really good considering she didn’t feel that good.

These are the two pictures we used on our card this year….

Merry Christmas to you and your family from me and my family!

Kyle, Ginny and Jax

This was a quick shoot, without ‘desirable’ light, but we got a few good shots of my cousin Ginny and her hubby Kyle and their adorable baby Jax.  Here are my favorites…

Kyle is such a nut, and every time we do pictures you can count on him doing something like this next one… Ginny feels sure Jax will be the same way and getting a picture without them doing something silly will be hard! haha!

The “A” Family

This family has had me take their pictures for several years now, and I love that! I love getting to see how much the boys have grown and changed since our last shoot, and this time it seemed to me like they had all grown up so much!

Thanks Kari and Ellis for letting me capture your family year to year – It makes me feel like I must be doing something right for you to keep coming back! Thanks!!

Miscellaneous Monday

Okay, I have definitely been missing in action here on the blog… So sorry.     But, I do have a pretty good excuse! I have been sick. Yes, sadly I have been a little under the weather and just haven’t felt like doing much of anything. Thankfully, I am feeling a lot better now, and hope to get completely well very soon.  My Dad always says that being sick is good for you, it makes you appreciate good health. And well, I couldn’t agree with you more Dad!

This week I hope to get some shoots blogged that are long past due. Till then, I bring you Miscellaneous Monday!

This weekend I went to my Grandparents house for our annual “Candy Day”. For years now, MawMaw has had us all up to her house for a day of making homemade candy during the Christmas season. When I say “us all” that means only the girls, the boys always had their time at Thanksgiving. She started this when I was very young (I am the oldest grandchild) and had no idea that we would continue coming every year even after growing up and having our own kids.  We all used to spend the night, but now only the un-married ones spend the night and the rest of us come up first thing in the morning. We first eat breakfast, then we have an apron exchange, then while sporting our new aprons we get to the business of making candy!  It is a day we all look forward too and we feel incredibly lucky to have grandparents who go to all the trouble and time it takes to do something like this. Thank you Poppa and MawMaw! I’d like to say I have tons of pictures to share with you, but, since I did not feel good I ended up taking only a couple of pictures and then ended up leaving a little early… but here are two I did take:

First, Poppa and MawMaw making us all breakfast… nothing like Poppa’s hot pancakes! Yum!

Then this little guy got to come hang with all the girls because he is just a baby! (you may remember Jax from a few different posts in the past…)

That is it, I know, only enough to make you mad! I normally would have pictures of us in our aprons, cooking, the finished candy, all kinds of stuff! I’ll try to do better next year.

Happy Monday Ya’ll!
