Miscellaneous Monday

Good Monday Morning!

Today I bring you pictures of our Easter Sunday. My family gets together at my parents house and we always play kickball – it is a tradition of ours - we play kickball after lunch on Easter Sunday…. And it is always a lot of fun and a lot of laughs!

Kennedy and Tori played a little game of ball too….

Max played with MawMaw and Poppa on the sidelines…

I liked this picture in color and B&W…. so I am posting both!

Staying cool under the umbrella!

Love the lip in this one!

A self-portrait of me and my hubby (with my Dad in the background)!

Kennedy trying to blow bubbles… but she couldn’t understand to hold it in front of her mouth, not in her mouth!

Bristol just chilled all afternoon:

The guys also practice their golf swing…. here is my hubs practicing his!

All in all, we have a wonderful day… I hope yours was as good!

And last but not least, Happy Anniversary to my parents who have been married for 29 years today! I love you both very much Mom and Dad!

Spring is in the air!

Achoo! That is me when spring rolls around! But, despite the allergies I love spring and all it brings – warm weather and oh-so-much color! And it inspires me! I found myself wondering around with my camera one day snapping pictures of the blooms…. when I got them off my card I decided they were pretty enough to blog.

This last one is a shot of flowers that Kennedy picked for me….

Miscellaneous Monday

Today, it’s all about my firstborn  :)        These are just a few pictures I have snapped of Kennedy this past week. She still does not cooperate with me when it comes to taking her pictures. Actually, she does not cooperate with me on much at all these days! But, I am determined to get her picture; especially now that we have Bristol, it feels to me like Kennedy has suddenly gotten so big! I find myself  looking at her and thinking when did she gets so big? She is so tall…. her hair is thicker…. Even her hands are big!      She stays on the move all the time, so I just followed her around snapping…

Love this one of her kissing Bristol!

Hope your Monday has been fabulous thus far!

M.I.A.

Missing In Action. That seems to be me as far as this blog goes these days – sorry! I am settling into being a Mommy of two, and just taking it all in. So, blogging may be little bit off-schedule for awhile. Once I get back to shooting I’ll be blogging those shoots and I will start posting Miscellaneous Monday posts every Monday again. Till then, I will just blog randomly…. It may be on Monday, or it may not be! I want to enjoy these days with my girls….Bristol being a newborn and Kennedy trying to get used to being a big sister. I know these days will fly by; even though it does not always feel like it when you are up late at night bouncing, burping, and feeding. But, it does fly by, I can’t believe Bristol is already a week and a half old!

Here is a shot of Bristol sticking her tongue out at me… I think she is trying to tell me how she feels about having her picture made, because so far I haven’t had a lot of luck taking her pictures… If it were any other baby I would be able to get an entire shoot full of great shots, but my own baby? Nope, she just will not cooperate!

This is another I snapped of her….

And I love this one… I saw Kennedy sitting with her hand on Bristol and I just fell in love with the simplicity of it. Sisters. I grabbed my camera and got the shot before she decided to move on, she does not stay in one place for too long!

It’s a girl!!!!

Finally our little girl decided to make her appearance on Monday, March 22, 2010.  Who knew I’d go into labor after posting my Misc. Monday post?!

Bristol Lynn …. 7lbs. 15 ounces, 20 inches long. She is just perfect and we are in love!

Here are a few shots taken at the hospital…. I will have more to come soon I am sure!  Thanks to all of you who found out about her and sent me well wishes and congrats… I appreciate it – they made me feel good!

Miscellaneous Monday

I am going to warn you…As I type this I don’t even know what I am going to post! I still have not had my baby (was due on Wednesday) and honestly, I am doing okay. The first and second days after my due date I was a little down, and kept hoping I would have my baby soon. But as the days go on I am doing better. I know it has to happen sooner or later and I am just getting used to the idea that it is not going to happen till it happens! (does that make sense? I am not sure it does… but we’ll go with it!) I guess what I am saying is that when it is meant to be it will be. Period. And so I am just taking one day at a time.

And apparently not taking any pictures! Because as I think back this week my ‘one day at a time’ did not include picking up my camera! (I know, shame on me!) Last week I had hoped to be posting pictures of our new baby by now, but maybe we’ll get to do that soon!

Thanks to all of you for the well wishes! They really mean so much to me.  Whether you commented here on the blog, sent me an email, picked up the phone and called me or told me in person… THANKS! I really do appreciate it.

Speaking of the new baby, I plan to take his/her picture weekly for one year as I did with Kennedy.  I keep a file of all 52 weeks I took of Kennedy (just one shot out of each week) and this one is still one of my favorites (she was just learning to wave!) I am going to re-post it now because all posts are better with pictures!

Um, my cursor got a little click happy and grabbed a few more ‘favorites’ as I was in that file getting that one… ;)

Wow… I cannot believe how much she has grown up! Seeing these again makes me excited to take the new babies pictures weekly. It is a lot of work, but so worth it!

Thanks to all of you for hanging around listening to my ramblings… Happy Monday! XoXo

Easton

Easton will be one year old this week! I did a really quick shoot with him yesterday, when I say quick, I mean all of about 20 minutes!  He never stopped moving and did not pay me one bit of attention – typical one year old!  But, we still managed to capture some adorable pictures; here are some of my favorites……

He would rather pull the plates off the wall than sit and smile, so we moved outside after these two!

Love this one…

I love these next two, but couldn’t decide if I liked the color or B&W better… so you get to see both!

A favorite!

Miscellaneous Monday

So, this week is my due date! YAY! Wednesday is the big day… the one we have been looking forward too. So, I am hoping to have a new baby sometime soon!

We (Stuart and I) spent a little bit of quality time with Kennedy at the park yesterday… we wanted to spend a little time with her before she becomes a big sister and her world, as she knows it, changes.  I only snapped a few pictures while we were there, here are two that I got:

Ah! I do love that little girl!

I hope you all have a fantastic Monday!

Brooklyn

I wanted to play around a bit using some fabric as a backdrop, so I asked Brooklyn to come over and model for me… and a cute model she was! I plan on trying this out with several different ages and sizes of kids and maybe adults too, and possibly offering mini sessions.   As of now I have only tried it out on Brooklyn; I LOVE how these turned out, but I think I still love the outdoor/natural look best… however, it is something different and maybe something that I might do more of in the winter when it is too cold to be outside. Either way, here is what I got…

I will leave you with this one because something about it I LOVE…. it just feels so happy!

Miscellaneous Monday

Sooooo, I forgot to blog today! Till now, thanks to my Grandmother calling to see how I was feeling and making sure I was not in labor since I did not blog today! If she had not called, I am not sure when I would have even thought about it. And maybe no one else thought of it either, but if anyone did - here I am! Back again with Miscellaneous Monday, and not in labor yet! I still have 9 days till my due date, and yes, I am aware that I can go late, but if you have ever been pregnant you know that it is a good feeling to just have nine days till that day you’ve been looking forward to for 9 months!

So, besides counting down till my due date this Misc. Monday, I do have a few pictures of Kennedy I’ll share with you too. These are just some snapshots taken awhile back, but I like them….

And here she is doing what she does so well in front of my camera… hiding!

Happy Monday! :)
