First thing in the morning, especially if it is early – and even more especially if it is wintertime, I stand in front of the sink with the cold water running and sike myself into splashing it on my face. I dread it because I am sleepy and just got out of my warm bed, and I know it is going to be freezing cold and take my breath away. But, after that first splash, oh it feels good! Suddenly the ‘sleepiness’ is gone and I am feeling fresh and awake and basically ready to face the day – without sleepy eyes.

It’s a must. I just have to do it!

Which brings me to my Miscellaneous Monday shots; I also feel that I just have to have pictures of my kids, at a young age, eating spaghetti. It seems like that is a classic kid picture. You know, spaghetti all over the face, the hands, etc.   Well, while eating spaghetti a couple of weeks ago I realized I had not yet gotten that shot of Bristol. So of course I grabbed my camera and fixed that

Okay, it is Sunday night, I am exhausted, I have a shoot first thing in the morning, and I don’t have a clue what I am going to blog about.

I think I might have bloggers block. Is there such a thing? I think so!

So, I am officially done blogging my pre-Christmas shoots   Yeah, yeah, I know, it is nearly April, ’bout time I wrapped those up!

I did this shoot for these two sisters back in January. These two cuties belong to my cousin Joanna, and her hubs Andy. We mostly focused on Maci, but wanted to get a couple of the two together, and ended up grabbing some of Kourtnie by herself too…

First up, Maci:

Kennedy had to have her picture taken with Kourtnie… messy hair, rain boots and all    And the look on her face? So funny!

My Friday night at home with the fam. (it included Deep Dish Pizza, Salad and Itilian bread for dinner, playing with the girls, and finishing a good book – Something Blue by Emily Giffin)

A children’s book called Mrs. McGee’s Coconut (it is currently our favorite book to read)

And these pictures of my girl (Kennedy)… I was sitting at my desk working on my computer, she was sitting at the kitchen table drawing. She turned around to talk to me for a minute and I decided to grab my camera and try to capture the moment. And for once, she did not refuse! (I am refraining from putting 50+ smiley faces here!)

She even suggested that we move to the floor for a couple. I kid you not!

This gorgeous cake came from Daphne’s Simply Southern Bakery and I loved it!  I wanted to include bumble bee’s since we often call Bristol “Bristol Bee” and I just love how cute it turned out!  My Mom made the adorable cupcakes…

Love this shot of Stu stealing a kiss from the birthday girl right before he lit her candle; reminded me of him getting one of his first kisses right after she was born…

Another thing that impressed me about this cake is the fact that it was icing, not fondant. So it was super easy for Bristol to dig right into! (nothing wrong with fondant at all, in fact, I thought that was what we had till she dug in… I was just impressed they got it so smooth!)

I did a shoot for my cousin’s, Jillie and Quincy, before Christmas for Christmas gifts for our grandparents and their Dad… (was there a lot of ‘for’s’ in there?! Yeah, I thought so!) Okay, I am half asleep while posting this… I am amazed I am even getting it posted at all. I’ll just stop typing now and post my favorite pictures
