Miscellaneous Monday

Loving….

  • Bristol’s ‘rocker’ version of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star
  • Bare feet and the warm spring weather….summer dresses, shorts and sun-kissed skin
  • Strawberries
  • My new Toms (Birthday gift from my sisters – thanks ya’ll!)
  • The way Kennedy points out random fields as we drive down the road and says “Momma that will be a good place for pictures!”
  • Fresh Lemonade

And of course I am always loving random pictures…I’ll leave you with a few today :)

Bristol was still in her jammies with sleepy eyes and bed hair :)

Happy Monday :)

Happy Birthday Bristol!

Two years ago I held my sweet Bristol Lynn for the first time….

It is hard to believe that two short years ago, she was this tiny…

Here she is now… an adorable little blond haired girl with a mind of her own. She keeps us laughing most of the time and gets into trouble a lot too ;)

Bristol Bee, we love you SO much! Happy Birthday sweet girl!

Miscellaneous Monday

Whew! It has been a kinda ca-razy around here…hence the late post today…and I’ll go ahead and warn you, it is a small pile of pictures from my little camera I keep in my purse, nothing more… Enjoy!

Kennedy:

Bristol:

Kennedy likes to use my camera too…she took these first two pictures of me. See how she cut off the top of my head in the first one? Well, she made sure not to in the 2nd one :)

A few more random shots, the girls playing…

Lunch with Mimi…

Bristol and Daddy….

I still love the convenience of this little camera! I love pulling it out and just capturing the moment. No, they aren’t perfect shots, far from it. And yes, I could do so much better with my ‘big’ camera, but the point is, I wouldn’t have it handy in my purse, and therefore, I’d miss these shots entirely… So I am loving these moments, imperfections and all :)

Linden and Lila

A new Mommy, a sweet baby girl, precious moments captured…
I did Lindens maternity shoot awhile back (you can see it HERE) and now here she is at home with her adorable baby girl, Lila.

I love all of these images, but these two (below) are favorites for sure :)

Another favorite:

Thanks for looking :)

Miscellaneous Monday

This weekend, I stepped out of my comfort zone…twice. (whoohoo! Go me!)

First, while doing a photoshoot, I moved two little girls out into a field that was in full mid-day sun. Not my kind of shooting preference, at all. But, I fired off a few shots and totally love the outcome :)

Aren’t they adorable?! Once I got back to where I could actually see the pictures (it was too bright to even see my LCD screen when I was out there, so I had no idea what I was getting) I love that we did them in the sun. I feel like it adds to their ‘summery dresses’ (which I loved, by the way) and their carefree, happy personalities… (I’ll be posting more from this shoot soon).

Then, yesterday I made yeast rolls. Yep, that is definitely stepping out of my comfort zone. Bread - and crusts of any kind – scare me. In fact, I make apple pies once or twice a year, and every time I roll out my dough I hear my Mom’s voice “Don’t let the dough work you…YOU work the dough!” Ah, she makes it sound so easy. Anyway, back to this weekend, I found these Yeast rolls on Pinterest and decided to give it a go. I had never even used my ‘dough hook’ that came with my mixer and when I saw that on the recipe I was like “uhhhh, I guess this is what I use…” haha!

They turned out good. Not the best I’ve ever had, but good for a first time.

Happy Monday!

Miscellaneous Monday

Today is my Birthday. The big 3-0. Wow. Yikes!

Okay, now that we have that out of the way….. Lets move on to a few of my favorite recent pictures of Bristol…

I actually had the idea to take pictures of myself holding a sign that said ”30!” with a look of disbelief on my face, (because really, I can hardly believe I am thirty!) but of course I never got around to it. Then I was also going to hold a sign that said “8 weeks to go!” to document the fact that we only have eight weeks left till our baby’s due date. Which is exciting. Which is also one of the reasons I love these pictures of Bristol. She is in her room - the ‘nursery’ - which she will soon be moved out of. And I love the fact that right now she is my ‘baby’ and these shots were taken in her room, on her changing table. I got her dressed one day and just decided to grab my camera for a few random shots. No plans. No expectations. And I love what I got. First she was playing “Peek-a-pie” (that is how she says it, and I love it!) Then she was just being silly, and as I’ve mentioned before, I love laughter, especially my girls :)

Happy Birthday to me - and anyone else who might be celebrating a Birthday today, and Happy Monday to the rest of ya!

Sullivan ~ Newborn

You may remember this little sweetie from a sneak peek I posted awhile back:

Sullivan was born back in December and he is absolutely precious!

Logan is a proud big brother :)

We got some great shots of Logan by himself too…

They have a huge piece of art hanging over his crib – I always love seeing art on a huge scale, so of course I loved his :)

And now, the whole family…

Love these next two!

But this one could be my favorite of all four of them…

Chris and Jennifer, Thank you for asking me to capture this special time in your lives…

Miscellaneous Monday

Got up this morning with a pregnacy headache and not a clue what I was going to blog. So, almost lunchtime, I sit down to go through a few folders and come across these random shots. And since this is “Miscellanous Monday” I thought it would be a good time to blog them. I love random shots of people/things. I think they tell a good story.

I adore this shot of Bristol…while there were other ‘favorites’ from this little series, this one still stood out for some reason.

(Bristol is watching me right now and said “Look! There’s Bistol Bee…me!”)

My “To Do” list… for some reason I felt the need to photograph it one day (picture me shrugging right now, but I do like the random-ness of it)

Art. Create. I love it.

Kennedy, my girly-girl…I finally broke down and bought her some nail polish, and she is so pleased!

Thanks for looking and have a fab Monday!
