We spent the morning at the pool, and will spend this afternoon picking and snapping green beans… so while these three girlies sleep, I am going to get some editing done and will be back later with more

I am so happy to say that I can now blog pictures again! Whoohoo! I was beginning to feel a little something like this about my blog issues:

Ha! Thankfully, I am feeling better now I am still working on making some changes, but today has been a big step in the right direction.

I love shooting engagement sessions, and Dan and Sarah’s did not disappoint. Well, except for the part where Dan had to help me up out of the creek onto the fallen tree because I didn’t have enough muscle to do it myself! Seriously. It was not a proud moment.
Three outfit changes, 3 locations. Each one felt a little bit more awesome than the first… and by the time we got to our last location the sun was low in the sky casting gorgeous golden light over an overgrown field… and well, I just happily captured it all

Yep. Totally random. But that’s the way Monday’s often are around here First up, the roses. These were so gorgeous; I saw them driving down the road, on the way home from a shoot. Since I already had my camera with me I pulled in and took a few pictures…

And now the recipes. The last few weeks I have been trying to plan my meals for the week. Now, that sounds kinda fancy, but in reality, it is not at all! I simply sit down and come up with a few different things to fix for supper (I feel like the true southerner that I am right now; using ‘fix’ and ‘supper’ in the same sentence!)

I had been just coming up with something to throw together at the last minute, and half the things I would consider making I’d need something from the store. Which often meant more grocery store trips than I needed or wanted to go on. And, in general, more aggravation. So, I declared that I’d only go to the store once a week and I’d plan ahead and make a good list full of all that I needed for that week. And so far, it’s worked out really good. Of course, I think it’s been, like, a month now?! But I love knowing what I am going to prepare and just go in the kitchen and do it. No more running around checking cabinets and freezers and wondering why I didn’t thaw out this or that in time…

Another thing I want to do more is try out the recipes I pin on Pinterest. I LOVE Pinterest, but if I don’t use the recipes, (and other idea’s, tips, tricks, etc.) then what is the point?! So, today I am going to share two of our tried and truly delicious (and fast and easy!) Pinterest Recipes…

#1  Red Lobster Biscuits. Delish! You can find it HERE on Pinterest.

#2 Ranch Chicken. This chicken is so good it has it’s own hashtag on Instagram! Ha! #famouschicken (that is a joke, I am sure #famouschicken is used for other things too) This happened when I posted the recipe on Facebook after I made it the first time. A few people commented saying they had also made it and loved it, and from there friends and family tried it and then posted pictures on Instagram… which made more people see and try it, and well, it’s been quite a hit! Momma and her boy. I absolutely love this type of session… simple, pure moments between a Mother and her child. These moments…they go by so fast. I love being able to capture them with my camera.

Years ago I purchased land - before Stuart and I were even married – and I imagined that one day we would build a house on it and raise our family there. That dream has not yet become a reality. And maybe has taken longer than expected to happen. While I dream of bigger spaces for our family to spread out…a larger, eat-in, kitchen…a dining room…a mudroom where we can drop random shoes and other things as we walk in…more bedrooms, closets…The truth is, I love our neighborhood and the home we currently have.

Yes, we could use more space for sure. But we are blessed.

One of the girls most favorite things to do is take a walk to the end of ’The ‘hood’ (as they often refer to it) and ride their bikes down the ‘big hill’ and go ‘super fast’! Last week we did this. It was an ordinary day and I had been dreaming of the house that we’d love to build one day a little more than normal…but on that ordinary day it felt extraordinary. As we walked and I watched our girls, I felt so happy and content in this moment, this home, and this ‘hood.

She gets to going really fast then puts her feet down like this to slow herself down. Yes, the sandals are torn up and I cringe afraid she is going to catch a toe on the pavement!

Kennedy decided it was time she helped Bristol learn to ride her big girl bike…

After a little fall she decided to go back to what she was comfortable riding
